3 AAA to 14500 adapter for flashlights

Adapter to use a single 14500 rechargeable Lithium-ion cell in place of the triple AAA battery holder in mini flashlights. Li-ion cells produce between 3.6-4.2 volts, which is in the range of using 3 AAA cells (3.6 volts if using NiMH cells, 4.5 volts if using standard/alkaline AAA cells).

Be sure to use 14500 cells that are protected against over-charging, over-discharge, over- current, and short circuits, since devices made for other cells (such as alkaline or NiMH cells) do not typically have this protection built in.
