Description
A simple, rugged adapter to mount an M5Stack IoT Base CAT-M to a RAM Mounts "B" size arm. It should work with any M5 IOT base that has the DIN RAIL.
The plate is the exact 54 x 54 mm footprint of the M5 and bolts flat onto the device's two M3 brass inserts (32 mm centre-to-centre) — the same inserts the DIN-rail clip uses.
A standard RAM "B" 1" (25.4 mm) ball sits on the opposite face. The screw heads inset flush into the
back so nothing snags.
WHY: I needed to vehicle-mount a cellular M5 device on a RAM arm. The stock DIN clip isn't great for a moving vehicle, and the two M3 inserts were right there — so the adapter just bolts straight on.
