Description
The MK Kit 3D printed enclosure files give builders a clean, printable cabinet option for the Parts Express MK Kit Pair - Components Only speaker kit This design lets you print your own enclosures while using the proven MK Kit driver and crossover component package, making it a great option for DIY audio builders who want an easy to complete speaker project with a custom printed cabinet.
The enclosure was optimized for straightforward assembly, with printed parts designed to fit together cleanly and reduce extra finishing work. Internal structure was added to improve rigidity, helping the cabinet resist unwanted panel vibration while keeping the print practical for common desktop 3D printers. The design also includes a continuously flared port, which helps create a smoother transition through the port path while keeping the enclosure compact and printer-friendly.
Minimum recommended printer build volume is 240 x 140 x 170 mm or larger. Each major enclosure part should be arranged on its own build plate for easier printing, review, and reprinting if needed. For best results, review each plate in the slicer before printing and follow the assembly instructions from Parts Express.
Please note: this enclosure is designed specifically for the MK Kit and is intended to be used with the MK Kit component package. For best results, follow the MK Kit 3D print assembly instructions and use the recommended MK Kit components.

We recommend adding damping material to every speaker enclosure. Any material that provides sound absorption can be used to line the interior walls, but for this project we recommend Sonic Barrier 1/2" Acoustic Sound Damping Foam with PSA. Its self-adhesive backing makes installation simple, and the foam is easy to cut for a clean fit inside the MK Kit enclosure.
