Description
For an RC (remote controlled) toy car, see the title.
You'll want to use a strong plastic like ABS or a reinforced Nylon or something. You'll also want to use solid infill (100%).
I measured and modeled the original part and then beefed it up as much as I could but made sure it still fits the original parts without interference. These parts are out of stock/backordered many places. I don't know that they are in production anymore. The reason I think these parts fail is because they are plastic but if you make them out of metal you'll probably cause more critical and more expensive parts to fail upstream. My kid would crank the acceleration to full and then full-throttle switch to reverse, so it would round out the slotted hole. I couldn't convince him to feather it a little more. Lol.
The correct ARRMA part number is AR310862 but might also be listed as ARA310862 on some pages. It's also orderable as ARAC4014 for some reason.
And the original parts are some kind of "composite plastic" which makes me think they have chopped carbon fiber or glass-filled or something to make them bit more durable than just base ABS or Nylon.
