Handheld Ducted Fan Thruster

A compact, fully 3D-printed handheld ducted fan unit powered by a brushless motor and built-in ESC, designed as a self-contained rechargeable thruster.
Performance

Maximum recorded thrust: 120g with aerospike nozzle

Inlet nozzle version provides ~5% improvement over bare motor

Nozzles are swappable for easy comparison and upgrade

Power System

Battery: 2S LiPo

BMS with integrated charging module — unit charges directly, no battery removal needed

ESC: built-in with the motor

Nozzle System

Nozzles are magnetically attached — 6 × 5×3mm magnets in the housing, 6 per nozzle

Magnetic fit can shift under pressure and allow air leakage

For best performance: glue the nozzle permanently

Mechanical Assembly

Motor held by compression between the two shells — no fasteners required

6 × M2.5 heated inserts pressed into shell, fastened with 6 × M2.5 screws

On/off switch included with motor

All internal components (ESC, wiring, BMS) secured with hot glue

Extra screw near power button recommended to stiffen that shell area

Internal rib dimensions can be adjusted to fit different motors or boards

              -this project is highly modifyble and for that there is two .step files for teh body so you can modify freely whatever dimentions u want to do .
