Description
I couldn't find anything that was storing the base game quite how I wanted so I designed this. My target was to: keep the original cardboard art insert, use minimal filament, be safe for vertical storage, and ease with setup straight onto the board. I'm happy that this achieves all of those!
The tiles holder is split into batches of 12 per player plus the extra 9. It is a very tight fit, but mine do all fit in there without any damage.
Note there is a small lip on one side of the tile holder, this is to keep the compass and guide holders flush with the box lid.
As shown in the picture, it all lifts straight onto the board in matching shapes/sizes.
I've also included the Darwin bust I've printed to replace the cardboard marker. I scaled this in my slicer to be 53.69% of the original model (I've know idea why such a specific number to be honest, I think it just looked right by eye?).
Print one of everything.
My print in the photos is hashed as I print without tops/bottoms/walls to save on filament.
