Description
I was unhappy with the standard Prusa i2 design and it's limitation, mainly because when printing an object over 50mm high, the extruder gear would hit the frame if homing the x-axis or near the edges. If you have a similar issue, or want to convert to this, I've been running this conversion for ~9 spools of filament now and it's great.
Rod lengths are provided as well, I used standard 5/16" threaded rod from the hardware store. (8mm would work too).
There are also files included for a spool holder, which utilizes standard 608 skateboard bearings (2 total), as well as the same 5/16 (or 8mm) threaded rod.

Please realize that this is not the entire printer, this includes the parts required to convert a "triangular prism" design Prusa i2 to the cubic structure shown. This also means that the CAD drawings shown do not represent a complete, working printer.
