Race Boat

This is a hydroplane boat (or thunderboat) toy. I base myself off the "Banshee X" boat in the arcade game "Hydro Thunder Hurricane". I then added a car like spoiler. The boat is approximately 14 cm long (5.5 inches) and 6 cm wide (2 and 1/3 inch). It is a single print design and it can be printed in 2 hours.

I had to make a change to the first design in order to make it stand on its stern, have enough surface that touches the bed print for adhesion and print without support material. This 3rd revision is nice looking and it floats.

I have 2 successful ABS print. They stand near 22 grams. The waterline when still is at the widest part of the hull. Since hydroplane relies on the planning force, rather than the buoyancy, I was only able to put 4 penny before it sinks.
