Files to be considered for merging with future Lite Arm i2 releases.

What does each file do?

Visit the Instructions tab for a list of each file's purpose. These files are generally created to be drop-in replacements for originals in the Lite Arm, pick and choose what you want.

Where are the rest of the files?

Visit the original Lite Arm i2, also listed under Remixed From -->
It has all of the base files which allow you to print your own servo-controlled robotic arm.

What is the Lite Arm i2?

Lite Arm i2 is an open source project by Lance Pierson (Armatec) to create a low cost, mini industrial robotics arm.

I want to build one!

  • Check out cwthoma's mod files. They are an excellent resource.
  • Images to help you assemble the beast

Node.JS Server

I'm also working on a nodejs instance that will run on a Raspberry Pi to provide a small Access Point that controls the robotic arm.

Status

Done

  • Make Lite Arm printable on a 150x150mm print bed

WIP

  • Improve documentation for assembly and purchasable hardware.
  • Redesign 21B to have a more solid connection, use less plastic.

Backlog

  • Create laser files so that flat parts can be cut (much cheaper than printing!)
  • Modify parts to use NEMA14/17 stepper motors
  • Modify parts to use 608ZZ bearings. These are used for roller skates and are cheaper + easier to get.
  • Create Node.JS webapp for Arduino+rpi+pwm shield.
