Description
*** I do not plan further development of this app. There is a webapp that is open-source and actively maintained at the following url: http://gpxtruder.xyz/ ***
I printed a few mountain and road bike rides using the original pde from SNRK (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:276911) and thought they were great. As a few of my friends responded to my offers to print their rides, I got a few that wouldn't work with the original. Using comments from SNRK on his original post, I was able to up the resolution. Additionally, I believe I've found and corrected a bug that caused 2:1 x-axis compression. Edit line #45 of the PDE to match your GPX filename and print away!
An additional pde with brush size inceased to 2.0 has been added. If you find the higher resolution prints to be too insubstantial, try it.
14 December 2015 Added similarly modded version of floating track.
22 March 2016 It is no longer necessary to edit line #45 to include your filename, if you name your file "input.gpx".
22 March 2016 Added executables for Windows with 64-bit Java. No library downloads or Processing application work required.
28 December 2017 I added a sample GPX for testing that you have Java and the application installed correctly. Currently, the exe version of this script is not compatible with Bitdefender (unless you follow the instructions here: https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/answer/2393/).
If Linux or Win32 executables are needed, I can generate them. The amount of effort required means that I won't unless someone specifically requests them.
