Under table spool storage and holder #FilamentChallenge

Put a line of these under the edge of your work bench, and store your spools neatly out of the way and out of sight. When you are ready to use that spool, just pull out, pivot up, and push in to lock. The spool is ready to go. A built in filament guide keeps your filament from bird-nesting, and acts as an end holder when in the storage position. This holder will accommodate spools up to 3 inches wide by 9.5 inches in diameter. The guide hole is designed for 1.75 mm filament but can be drilled out for larger filaments.

You will need two screws for mounting the unit under the table, and you will need a 4-1/2 inch (115 mm) by 1/8 inch (3 mm) bolt and wing nut for holding the spool in place. I thought about making a completely printable solution, but sometimes metal hardware is just better.

I began designing this holder to use on my own workbench. However I have since moved my printer to another location where an overhead cabinet is a better solution. When I saw the new challenge it occurred to me that others might want to use my design, so I took some time and finished the drafting process. Since I will not be using it myself, I have not actually taken the time to print it. So, if there are any problems please let me know. Also, if you are an AutoCAD 2016 user and want a copy of the dwg file so you can make your own modifications I will be happy to send it.
