Description
I struggled to get my 70 mm LX (also known as Lanxiang/Bananahobby) F-35 flying well with 70 mm fans. The intakes and exhaust were big enough to handle more air so I designed a 75 mm fan for it instead. It works really well. It's not fast but performs well with good climb.
I use the fan with a gold and black colored QF 2827 3500 kv motor and 4S lipo. I think it draws a bit more than 80 A on a full charge. This motor is available in 2600 kv for 6S but I haven't tried that myself. Grind a divet on the motor shaft for the grub screw to sit in so that it can't just slide off the shaft if it becomes slightly loose.
To balance my F-35 with a light battery I made the parts so that the fan itself sits in front of the normal mounting location in the LX F-35. Stack Fanhousing04 on top of Fanhousing05 and glue together for use in the LX F-35. Fanhousing07 is a generic housing for use in other planes.
