Automaton Rocket Devastators (Helldivers 2)

"Watch those shoulder rockets!"

A variant of the A-2 Devastator, the Rocket Devastator carries an oversized 12-tube rocket pod upon it's back. The robust size of the A-2's frame makes it an ideal platform for rocket barrages. The chassis is nearly identical to the standard A-2, lacking the gear-crest present on the standard Devastator.

Rocket Devastators are deployed in an AA or ATGM role alongside Automaton infantry. Their pods fire the same warheads utilized by the smaller A-1 Rocket Raiders, but often fire them in bursts of four to six, rather than individually.

While their rockets are deadly, the large bulk of the pod presents an easily exploitable weakness. Damaging the laser rangefinder placed between the pods will disable their targeting, forcing the devastator to aim the pod manually. Any heavy ordinance directed at the pods themselves will detonate the warheads, resulting in a volatile explosion.
