Description
Mk110 57mm Mk3 Naval Cannon. Used by many NATO and non-NATO member countries. My model is around 1/16 in scale. Some parts are very detailed and would benefit from being printed on a larger sized resin printer. You can scale it down to print it smaller, however, keep in mind, that at the designed scale, I used a 1/4" brass tube to reinforce the barrel. So if you scale it down to 50% you'll need a 1/8" brass tube.
Included are two bases, a round one which is 600mm in diameter (divided up into 4 pieces) and a rectangular one 495x382mm.
Once built it will make an impressive diorama, especially if you include figures from https://jagerhobby.com/. I'm not affiliated with Jager Hobby, nor do I make any money recommending them.
This model is fairly detailed and divided up into several pieces. Recommended for intermediate to advanced modelers for the best output.
It features an elevating cannon and rotating base.
There is 2 versions of the turret, one with detailed screw heads around the elevation mechanism and one without, depending if your printer can handle the detail.
To build this full 1/16 scale, you will need some 1/4" brass tube (at least for the barrel and elevation wheel). Other pieces can be 1/4" thick but made of something else, wood or plastic...it's just used for alignment of the large turret pieces.
Barrel 1x 179mm 1/4" brass tube
Elevation Wheel 1x 52mm 1/4" brass tube
Turret Body 5x 10mm 1/4" brass tube or similar.
