Description
"A tank fit for a king!"
That was the advertising tagline for the monstrous Citadel tank. Designed to assault fortifications, this behemoth packs a pair of powerful guns and is covered in secondary weapons. Initially sales were poor because prospective buyers (rightfully) saw it as a logistics nightmare.
But the tank found interest on planet Bordon, which was embroiled in a planet-wide civil war. The Citadel performed well in the surface-spanning trench-warfare conditions. Even when it's tracks became disabled, it created a powerful forward bunker for follow up attacks. The tank was so successful that the government licensed the design to be built on Bordon itself. The only way for the Bordoneon rebels to counter the Citadel was to steal the design and build it themselves. Soon, both sides were throwing Citadels against each almost to the total exclusion of any other fighting vehicle, and even basic maintenance was eschewed in favor of simply building more Citadels. The war stalemated again, with No Man's Land becoming a maze of Citadel wrecks. Entire cities were replaced with Citadel husks stacked on top of each other. The war ended only when the planet's resources were fully exhausted.
The Citadel's design has officially been discontinued, but so many tanks litter the surface of Bordon that a thriving refurbishment business has developed. Many Citadel wrecks need only minor repairs, and the refurbished tanks are incredibly cheap for their immense size and firepower. They are popular among pirates and outlaws, and even professional militaries find the chassis useful for carrying powerful long range weapons or bunker busting.
Comes with 9 different chassis and 7 different turrets.
Separate bodies and turrets, with slots for 3x1mm disc magnets.
