Description
A cleft palate is a birth defect where the roof of the mouth doesn't fully close during fetal development, leaving a gap. It can vary in severity from a small notch to a large split that extends into the nasal cavity. This condition can cause feeding, speech, and dental issues and is usually corrected with surgery early in life.
In this 3D model, we will assist the patient with a scaffold to regenerate his cleft palate. The download includes a model of a healthy palate, a cleft palate, and 2 scaffolds (solid and porous) for reconstruction.
