Description

IMPORTANT NOTES: The Game Board is designed for a LARGE printer. I made it for my 360 x 360 Prusa XL. It should scale down some, but the markers may not fit on smaller squares. Also, the "game spinner" is not included here. See link below for the spinner post (coming soon).

Make Your Own Rules - How Will You Play?!

My son and I designed this Game Board together for a project he was working on for school. His project is the beige, blue, and black board shown in the photos. We decided to post this version without the words so other people can add any text or game features they want into the space around the path.

I designed four different game markers that fit all of the squares on the full size game board. The different shapes make them distinct if printed with one color, or print them with different colors. (The markers for my son's game can be found here: Water Themed Game Markers.)

Bonus! We also include here the "Exclamation Point Die" my son wanted for his game. It has the exclamation point symbol on two opposite sides, and the remaining sides are blank. He calls this his "Action Die."

Details about Game Board Models

The "Game Board" is broken into parts: Board, Path Spaces, Path Boundary, and Board Frame.

Board: The "Board Bottom" is 350 x 350 x 1 mm.

Path Spaces: These are 0.5 mm thick. There is one model with all of the path spaces together for easy coloring within the slicer. Split this apart to objects to remove some spaces, if desired. I also included the path split into three parts (A, B, C) to create a cycle among three colors. I found this easier to use in the slicer for the coloring I wanted to use.

Path Boundary: The edge of the path is its own model, 1mm thick. My son's game is primarily the path without filled spaces. He wanted to highlight only a few key spots for particular actions to connect with the symbols found in the book this project was about.

Board Frame: The frame sits on top of the edge, so it adds only height to the board. My son wanted a thicker frame of 3 mm for his game, but I think the 1 mm frame looks better, so I included both heights here.

Frame & Boundary: I originally had the Board Frame and Path Boundary as one piece, but later thought it could be useful to have them separated. The two versions (1 mm and 3 mm) refer to the thickness of the Frame. The Path Boundary is 1 mm thick among all of the models.
