🔎General Information

This is a detailed 3D model for the Norwegian 30mm MK266 High-Explosive Incendiary with Tracer (HEI-T) also known as MK258 Mod 1 Swimmer. This HEI round is designed for the Norwegian Army's CV90 infantry fighting vehicle (specifically the CV9030N variant), which is armed with the 30mm Bushmaster II (Mk44) chain gun. It is excellent for display and training purposes, and can also be used in documentary animations or enthusiast projects.

The MK266 HEI-T is a 30×173mm round developed as an improved version of the PGU-13 HEI, modified with a tracer element and a low-drag fuze for better accuracy and extended range.
It features a projectile weighing approximately 363–438 g, a muzzle velocity of around 1,080 m/s, and contains high explosive with incendiary material (typically PBXN-5 explosive plus zirconium) to produce blast, fragmentation, and fire effects on impact.
Unlike the MK238 HEI-T/SD, the MK266 uses a non-self-destruct fuze, making it suitable for situations where longer range and maximum terminal effects are prioritized over unexploded ordnance reduction.
