Description
The N1 rocket (H1 in Russian Cyrillic) is the super-heavy-lift space launcher developed by the Soviet Union in the 1960s to send a human being to the moon as part of their space race against the USA.
6 launchers were produced. 4 of them failed at lift-off, and after the lunar program was halted, the last two were destroyed.
Here is a model of the launcher used on the L3 mission, the first launch attempt on February 21, 1969.
This is a 1/60 scale model. However, it is possible to reduce the printing scale, since most parts can be scaled down to -50% on a filament printer. For the rest of the parts, resin printing will be perfect.
the 1/60th scale model shown is around 180 cm high, 28 cm in diameter, and weighs 2.2kgs.
the set can be separated into 5 parts:
the firing point
block A
block B
V block
head block
there are a total of around 600 parts to assemble, depending on the version.
the attached ZIP file contains all the following parts:
printing on filament printers 200mmx200mmx200mm
some parts have been merged to suit the capabilities of large-format printers for those who have them.
some small parts, such as the antennas, can only be printed with a resin printer, but this doesn't prevent 99% of the model from being produced.
for those who own several types of printer, they will have to choose for themselves what suits them best.
