Description
This is The Crystal Maw Dice Tower.
I wanted to create a new dice tower and, as always, wanted it to have a few tricks up its sleeve.
While there are quite a few skull-themed dice towers out there, I’m really happy with how this one turned out!
It’s completely multi-part, so no AMS is required here.
It’s split into two parts connected by magnets, and the back section includes a secret dice compartment where you can store your dice.
You’ll need eight 12mm x 2mm magnets for the skull parts.
The Crystal Island is optional but really adds a lot to the visual feel—I’m especially happy with how this part came out!
Printing:
Both skull parts require supports – I recommend tree/organic supports where needed.
All other parts do not require supports.
The back skull has two versions: Crystal and Non-Crystal. You can print the small crystal separately and glue it to the top, it adds a great finishing touch!
For the Crystal Base, pause the print mid-way to swap filament colors for the crystals.
Notes:
The Skull_Front has two versions:
One with smaller openings and one with larger.
This was part of my testing, but I decided to include both.
Use Skull_Front_Larger_Holes.stl if your dice are over 20mm in size (they probably are).
My Print Settings:
Layer Height: 0.2
Supports: Tree
Walls: 2
Infill: 5%
