Description
UPDATE: 1-5-24 (improved fuze cap to make the text on top print better)
UPDATE: 16-4-24 (improved STL file quality)
Full size imitation of 4.2-inch chemical/smoke mortar shell used in WW2 and Korean War by British and Commonwealth forces (Australia, Canada, New Zealand etc).
These were historically filled with white phosphorus or mustard gas and fired from the Ordnance ML 4.2" heavy mortar. In addition to British and Commonwealth usage, this mortar was also used by India and Malaysia.
Has the specific six-vaned tail unique to the chemical mortar variant, as well as the detailed No. 152 fuze with removable cap. I've designed the thread with enough clearance to make sure it prints easily and threads on without difficulty.
Prints in six major parts plus 2 printable hex rods used to align and lock the parts together.
Approx size of complete assembly: 520mm (20.5") max height and 107mm (4.2") diameter at widest points.
Great for a British/Commonwealth re-enactment kit or for display in an artillery themed collection!
You can find my artillery shells collection here on Cults!
(Note: This is a cosmetic imitation only, it cannot function or be made to function as a real device. I am not responsible for any mis-use of the printed items. The renders showing paint colours and markings are for
