Description
These are replicas of original Brio tracks with the same measurements and they fit perfectly with the Brio system (unlike the IKEA Lillabo system). I printed them in Bambu's excellent White Oak Wood PLA which I highly recommend and gives the tracks a very similar look to the beech wood from the original (see photos). I also recommend to use a Smooth PEI Plate for optimal textures.
The models include:
This work is based on Torwan's excellent Train Tracks Generator. That one generates very nice train tracks but they do not use the exact Brio measurements. This collection of models adapts the work to produce train tracks that are exactly like the original Brio train tracks.
The included print profile is not the fastest but produces a high quality track. A standard straight takes ~45min to print and consumes ~28g of material which costs roughly 70 US cents. The single-sided tracks can be printed without supports, while the double-sided tracks have to printed on their sides with minimal supports.
For bridges check out the ascending train track model.
