Filament Spool Holder with holes - Expanda System

Details

The spool holder consists of a simple and elegant sturdy design to support the weight of multiple spools. The elevated design allows for multiple diameter spools to easily fit and hover above the base. Desiccant can be placed directly underneath or within a separate Desiccant Tray that snaps into the spool holder.

 

Smaller diameter spools will sit lower but won't slide off due to 10mm elevated corners.

 

The standard model has a 150mm width allowing for two standard 1kg spools or a 3kg spool to fit into a single holder.

 

Expansion

This spool holder uses the Expanda Modular System. This system allows 3D Printed designs to be extended almost infinitely. It features four dovetail joints on either side to lock in expansions and allows for flexible modularity.

 

 

The Spool Holder can be expanded with additional spool holders to form a chain. For example, 2 standard spool holders can be combined to fit within an airtight storage container such as the Ezy Storage 18L Water-proof storage box.

 

 

The Combined Spool Holder and Desiccant Tray can also be used for drying purposes inside the SOVOL SH01 Filament Dryer. The combination fits snugly within the dryer.

 

 

Print Settings

Recommended printing in PETG, ABS or ASA if intending to use the Spool Holder + Desiccant Tray combo in a Filament Dryer.

 

Print profile enables Adaptive Layer height to speed up print times and smooth out layer lines.
