Lillabo / Brio Ramp - Lillabo Clone, A1 Friendly

Version 2 Release! 2025 10-02: I've updated the model to correct some of the challenges some people have had with this model. Compared to the original A1 profile, Version 2 features:

• Custom designed supports. Reduces amount of support material and allowed for a better print orientation, which improves strength.
• Added internal features to the peg, increasing the number of walls and further improving strength. 
• Updated geometry for a better fit with both Brio and Lillabo.
• Faster print times. 

 

This track is meant to be a 1 for 1 replacement of the ramp from the Ikea bridge sets, with some improvements. The print profiles include two ramps, for a paired set. The male end is recessed slightly to remove the bump that occurs with the wood tracks which stops low clearance trains (including Ikea's own). Height of track is 65 mm from bottom of track at the peak, to match with the IKEA ramp pieces and accessories. I've been told the Version 1 fit with Brio is very tight, so print version 2.

 

While there are other versions out there, this one is printable on a bedslinger (Bambu A1) without falling over. This was achieved by reducing accelerations, tweaking printing orientation, brim, and only 18g of supports. Support can be turned off if you're using a core XY machine, and I've included a faster printing profile for that. Variable layer thickness was used to make for clean circles holes without increasing print times very much.
