I've made 8 dividers with offset tabs, which should make the dividers work well for registers with lots of categories (e.g. alphabetically ordered catalogues). You can find pre-labelled files among the print profiles, but you also can easily edit the blank dividers in your slicer to suit your needs. 

 

The dividers follow DIN A6 measurements, so they're 105x148mm (4.13×5.83'') but with an additional tab on top. They are thin enough to be slightly bendable yet still prop up your index cards. PLA works fine, PETG works better in my opinion but also takes longer to print and might not be worth the time, honestly.

 

You can print the dividers either flat on the bed or standing. Standing only really makes sense if you are printing the whole set in one go, otherwise the filament changes for the letters become indefensibly costly. Printing them flat makes them stronger, it takes less time and only requires one filament change. The tradeoff is that you have to manually start a massive amount of prints, since only so many dividers fit on a standard buildplate.
