Description

Holder designed to grab the DeWalt DCE-100 cordless compact blower 20V Max XR (Called 18V in some areas).

Read the description carefully to ensure this mount is right for your application.

  • Fits the DCE-100. Does not fit for : Amazon knockoffs, DCBL722, etc. Maybe it fits the DCV100 (not tested)
  • Review the dimensions to ensure your tool variant will match the holder.
  • Your blower may not hang at a perfect 90° vertical. This is not caused by my holder design, this caused by the tool center of mass not being perfectly centered at the handle.  So please, do not downrate the model for this.
  • Screw holes in the mount are ⌀5.5mm. They are designed for #8-us screws (metric equivalent is 4.17mm).  Screw pockets are designed for flat bottom head screws. The screws must snug the surface of the pockets.  Do not use "cone" or "tapered" screws.
  • Do not force larger diameter screws in the holes, this will damage your part. Screws should not thread in the plastic, they should grab the substrate only.
  • The model includes 4 holes :  2 middle ones for "beam" mount and 2 sides holes for a larger fat surface like plywood.  A typical #8-us screw has a shear holding strength of around 48 pounds (can vary based on factors like the screw's length, thread profile, and the material it's being screwed into).
  • Battery will fit in the holder, but shall be removed as per the DW instructions.
  • Select the proper material for printing : PETG, ABS, ASA, etc. all have specific material properties, so choose the proper material for your application.

Printing:  No supports needed, just print and use.  Profile is for 0.2mm layers type "strong" in PETG. You will see in the print profile some "yellow" objects over the part.  Theses shapes will not be printed, they are "modifiers" only.  Modifiers are used to adjust slicer parameters in specific locations of the part to improve properties, like infill while not wasting plastic in areas where infill is not significant.
