Description
I created this model because I was frustrated with what I could buy or what I found online. This model I designed to slide in-between the slots and twist to lock in. The slide is angled so it should easily slide under the slats left and right for positioning. Once you drive in the screw, it stays in place. You should use 30mm screws, as those enter the back material just enough to not damage the wall underneath while the insert is locked at the height you want it to stay on. It will allow you to hang whatever you want on your wall, even if it's a bit heavier. When you remove the screw, the insert can be removed from the wall without damage by simply twist it back.
Please note: this insert was designed for slat wall panels with measurements of 16mm with 8mm slats and 8mm fabric. The ‘stem’ of the insert is designed to fit this panel (it's 9mm to facilitate easy turning without damaging the slat's surface). Your milage may vary as there seem to be many different panels with different measurements out there. You may need to resize the insert if your panels have different measurements.
I also created an insert tool. You slide this tool over the square top and twist it so it's easy to insert and mount but also to remove. Check it out!
