Iris compass

This is a modification of the original iris compass to make it easier to assemble and sturdier. The pins on the leaves are longer and their corresponding slots are deeper, making it much easier to assemble. More importantly it keeps the leaves from coming loose and becoming a mess. In the pictures where both are shown the one on the left is the original and the one on the right is the new version.

5/2/2025 UPDATE: Added leaf installation tool and assembly template/tool.

Use the leaf installation tool to press the leaves into place (see pictures below).

Place assembly template on leaves to align them and then snap the other half on (see pictures below).
