Wall mount brackets for 3dSets RC models

Needed some way to keep my 3dSets RC models (visit 3dSets for more info https://3dsets.com/) stored and displayed… 

I have split the projects separately up into the brackets, base plates and alignment tool so select each one you want individually then download the files (so if you want the landy setup you would need to select the brackets and download that then the landy base plate and download that)

Base plate profiles are available for the following models:

Sakura 240 Model 17

Important!… Currently there are 3 Beetle based models. They all use there own base plate so make sure you print the right one for your model

To aid lining the brackets up I have also added an ‘alignment tool’ which is essentially a base plate with spacing for either the Landy or Torq base plates (110mm and 150mm respectively) as when the base plates are screwed to the brackets the top bracket hole is obscured

 

 

Once the brackets are secured you can then swap over to the baseplate the the model you wish to use…

 

The bracket mounting holes are designed for 4mm fixings so obviously use suitable fixings for the wall you intend to mount to… bear in mind that the RC models are pretty heavy so make sure you use a fixing that will hold into the wall deep enough

 

The alignment tool uses M3x10mm bolts to secure but both the landy and torq baseplates use M3x16mm just to ensure they hold ok… both these sizes are commonly used in the building of 3dSets models so spares shouldn't be an issue

 

Once done the models should sit securely on their respective base plates…

 

The Landy Model 4 plate is not specifically handed but the Torq Model 19 plate is so would need orientating the right way depending on which way you prefer your model to face
