Description
This model is a low wing version of my other instructional airplane model.
Like the high wing version, it was inspired by the wood and foam teaching aids often found in flight academies. It features a simple airplane with the main control surfaces labeled. The control surfaces are also posable allowing you to review, or teach, your next flight maneuver.
Unlike the high wing version, gravity wants to make the wings fall off. I recommend attaching the pieces with a small drop of superglue if you don't need it to be disassembled.
I have printed this model with both PETG and PLA. Between the two, PETG has resulted in more flexible and durable hinges and is the preferred material if you have it.
For either material, carefully deflect the control surfaces during their first use. It will take a couple cycles for them to "loosen."
Thanks for looking, blue skies and tailwinds!
