Long Organic Katana (Print in Place)

Length when unfolded ~ 80 cm

I would like to present the folding Katana sword. In this version, I added a curved blade, and its tip is now cut at an appropriate angle. The blades extend and retract more smoothly.

This project can even be printed on the Bambu Lab A1 Mini! I managed to print it without any supports, and the result was stunning!

I’d be thrilled if you could share your experience in the comments—let me know how your print turned out and whether you’re satisfied with the design.

You can print it in one color or experiment with multicolor options to bring out the details! :)

Note:

  • This is a model katana and should not be used as a weapon or given to children for play.
  • For best results, I recommend printing with PLA+ or PETG on a Textured PEI Plate.
  • If the adhesion of your printer’s plate weakens, consider using glue to improve grip and prevent your print from failing midway, saving filament and time.
