Description
We call these airplanes where I work and we needed more of them. They are ridiculously expensive anywhere we could find them online, so I decided to create my own.
They are printed in two pieces that are then glued together. I ended up landing on doing two pieces to avoid removing some major supports and wasting the filament. I use general CA glue and it has worked perfectly.
I have printed them in both PLA and PETG with great success, though all of the ones I used at my job are PETG just for strength and the translucent PETG is a bit more translucent than PLA. It could be very fun to print them in different colors and add some sparkle to the store. Time will tell!
I've included several plates within each file for both A1 and A1 Mini (the two printers that I have) in case you need certain amounts of the main body or brackets.
I can not stress enough the amount of effort and failed prints it took to figure out the best settings to print these. Please use the printing settings that I have set up. If you do not, I can all but guarantee you will have failures.
