Description
If you have a spray can which has plenty of stuff still inside it but has no pressure left, you can repressurise the can with an airline and this handy adapter. Wide end is tapered to fit over an airline blower. Thin end has a sleeve to fit over a standard 4mm can insert and inside a small ring to depress the button. Slip the adapter over the blower connected to your compressor. Remove the cap from your spraycan, slip the thin end over the nylon bit that sticks up, press down and trigger your air at the same time. You should hear air bubbling inside the can. WARNING - This is quite dangerous. Can contents may come out.. If you over pressurise, the can may well explode. Suggest you do it outside and with some safety specs on. Only need to compress for a few seconds. If you are not confident, DO NOT TRY THIS. I printed this standing upright on an A1 mini with PLA as that's what I had loaded at the time No support required. Again, this has the potential to be dangerous so please be very careful.
About 1g of Filament and 15 mins to print. May as well print a few while you are at it. Feedback suggests you may want to add a brim if you don't have a plate with good adhesion or if you print more than one at a time.
A couple of people have complained it did not work for them. Seems to have been OK for hundreds of people but to make things easier I have added a second profile with a brim for those who have sub-optimal plate adhesion. The rest is exactly the same.
This is the first upload I've submitted that people have used. Please give me some feedback so I know what works for people.
I had some feedback requesting a version to fit a regular tyre inflator. I'm not convinced it will work but here is an adapter anyway. It prints OK and fits but my tyre inflator did not have enough poke to do the job. The original compressor one certainly has the power. https://makerworld.com/en/models/1380056-schrader-to-4mm-adapter#profileId-1428289
Seems people like this :) If you are a fan of useful but dangerous thigs to add to your compressor, you may be interested in my adapter to enable you to pop pistons out of car brake callipers. https://makerworld.com/en/models/1662414-brake-calliper-piston-popper#profileId-1758785
Keen to receive feedback and of course boosts if you found this useful or want to suggest improvements. Cheers and BE CAREFUL!!
