X-Sense Smoke Detector Adapter

This is an adapter mount for X-sense Smoke Detectors .  The new smoke detectors were much smaller than the First Alert Model 9120B that we had installed in the house.  This one has screw mount for the base of the X-sense smoke detector but the flange adapter to fit the existing First Alert base.

Very simple installation:

1. Screw the X-Sense detector base into the flat side of the printed part.  I think I used a #4x3/8" Phillips flat head wood screw.  ½" length would probably work too.
2. Insert the smoke detector into the base.
3. Remove the existing First Alert Smoke detector but leave the mounting plate in place. Push the wiring back into the hole if required
4. Screw in the adapter + X-Sense smoke detector
