Description
This is a high-definition Rocket League Dominus rebuilt specifically for clean multi-color printing and reliable results on consumer FDM printers.
The original Sketchfab model looked great, but like many game assets, it wasn’t printable out of the box. This version focuses on printability, clean slicing, and strong visual results, without sacrificing detail.

The goal of this project was to create a display-quality Dominus that:
The original Sketchfab model was non-manifold, meaning it required significant cleanup before it could be reliably sliced or printed.
To prepare the Dominus for 3D printing, the following changes were made:
These changes result in cleaner color separation and more predictable prints, especially on multi-color builds.
Printing the body tilted with the nose upward provides the best balance of:
Several angles were tested. The best overall result was achieved around 65° of tilt, minimizing supports while maintaining consistent surface quality.
The entire model can be printed on a single plate, but for best results:
Using Support for PLA/PETG as a support interface allows the support interface Z-distance to be set to 0, which provides:
With a single AMS (4 filaments), splitting the model across two plates allows the use of five total materials, including red for detail parts.
Assembly is simple and beginner-friendly:
While this is a long print, it is not a difficult one when the following tips are followed:
This Dominus is designed as a display model, with an emphasis on clean surfaces and strong visual impact in multi-color prints.
If you’ve printed the Octane or Fennec versions, this one will feel familiar — just tuned for the Dominus’ longer, flatter body.
Enjoy the build, and happy printing.
