Description

Update: I made a V2 of this model here: Universal terrain adjustable table V2

A small, height-adjustable mini table. It adapts perfectly to the terrain. Ideal for camping, picnics, or a game of cards. Set your coffee cup down without it falling over or getting dirty.

It's used like a lunchbox. Turn the handles, and the feet will drop. Then adjust the height and turn the handles back, locking the feet.

The dimensions are 25cm x 18cm, and it is 15mm thick.

All parts are 3D printed, and no screws or any non-3D printed parts are needed. Fully dismountable.

Before Printing – Read This!

This model has tight tolerances, meaning small differences in your printer or filament can affect whether the table fits together properly.

To help make sure everything works on your printer with your filament, I’ve created a Tolerance Test.

What You Need to Know

  • Every printer and filament is different. What works for me might not work for you.
  • That’s why you should run the Tolerance Test before printing the full model.

How to Do the Tolerance Test

  1. Download the 3MF file of the Tolerance Test and print it via Bambu Studio, or start it from the Bambu Handy App.
  2. The test has 8 different "feet", each with a slightly different hole size.

(For advanced users: These use different XY Hole Compensation settings.)

  3. After printing, take the test pin and try inserting it into each of the feet.
  4. Find the one where the pin fits snugly:
    • It shouldn’t fall out on its own.
    • It shouldn’t get stuck either.
  5. Once you find the perfect fit, read the number on that foot.
That number tells you which print profile to use.

    For example

    1.   .025 → +0.025mm hole compensation adaptable table
    2.   -.25 → -0.025mm hole compensation adaptable table
    3.   0 → +0mm hole compensation adaptable table
    4.    .05 → +0.05mm hole compensation adaptable table

What to Print Based on Your Situation

  • If you already printed the whole table:
Reprint only the “feet and handles” plate using the print profile that matches the number on the foot that fit well.

  • If you haven’t printed anything yet:
Use that same matching print profile to print all of the plates.
