Description
This hyper-realistic coffee cup model is designed to hold ground coffee or beans, making it super convenient for outdoor use. Just toss it into any spare corner of your bag!
Mini Version:
- Dimensions: ~30mm (max width) × 36mm (height)
- Capacity: ~4.5ml
Note: Since I don't have actual ground coffee or beans on hand, I'm unsure about the ideal scaling for a single serving of whole beans. Suggestions are welcome - please comment!
Larger Version:
- 3× scaled on all axes (theoretical 27× volume = ~121.5ml)
Current status: Not recommended for printing yet. I find this version unnecessarily wasteful on filament, and the print settings still need optimization. If there's interest in this size, I'll develop an improved version. For now, I suggest sticking with the mini version.
Three design options:
1. Single-color
2. Two-tone (e.g., yellow + white) – Inspired by a certain McDonald’s coffee cup design.
3. "Sandwich" layered (e.g., green + white)
The lid features a practical snap-fit design, perfected through extensive testing across multiple prints with both PLA Basic and PLA Matte. Now consistently achieves that perfect sweet spot - secure yet easy to remove. But if your printer disagrees for some reasons, just ping me—I’ll whip up a fine adjustment version for you.
Tested for real-world use:
- Shake test: No leaks when filled with water and shaken vigorously.
- Overnight test: Left one cup upright and one upside down all night — zero spills.
So rest assured, it’s ready for real-world use!
