Description

Boost MeBoost because I'm just getting started on designing and I spent a lot of time on this, also for points for the gift card.

This is a tilt-based payload dropper designed for the DJI Mini 2 SE (also fits the Mini 2, and mini 4K). It uses a simple gravity-driven ring system that slides side-to-side as the drone tilts, eventually releasing the payload — no electronics or wiring needed.

Unlike other droppers, this one includes built-in landing legs, allowing your drone to take off from flat surfaces—no hand launch required.

The model prints without supports, is lightweight (just 9g!), and comes in two parts:

For best results, Attach as far back as possible — legs face forward due to support-free flat printing and place the payload in the back left position of the print (as shown in the image). This makes takeoff more reliable for not slipping on the small indent in the print. Use a string length that keeps the payload close enough for takeoff pull, but far enough to avoid bottom sensors. A faster-than-normal takeoff is recommended to give a clean pull and avoid slipping. (Make sure you enable payload)

  • The dropper body (attaches to the drone)
  • The sliding ring (moves down the stair-step track)

Fun, useful, and super easy to print and use!

this is a short video to show it working
