Description

I made custom badges for some of my Hyper Tough 12-volt power tools to make them match the theme of my worker space at home. I made these for my Sci-Fi theme with some UV florescent hits. I figured others may want to do some custom colors for their own themes! I would love to see your custom tools!

Install:

First removed existing Hyper Tough Red stickers, test fit the badge before installing it.

(This entire process took maybe 30 seconds per badge and the idea is to move quickly!)

After printing was completed and while the badges were still warm, I bent them to mimic the sides of the tool, and made sure it fit into the recess. I ran a small bead of super glue down the center of the badge, giving a few seconds for it to air cure before sticking them down. I then used a heat gun to curve the stuck badge more if needed, this melted the PLA and because it was glued it was not removable. It made it not turn out as clean so if you can get the bend right coming off the printer, they look much better!

Rear badges are mostly flat.

Tip: have your prepped hyper tough tool with you at the printer, have the glue lid off, use the heat bed to assist with the initial bending.
