Introduction

After the success of my 3d names, I've decided to get to work and come out with a parametric model that allows you to generate any name you want.

How To Customize

Fonts

I've checked over 150 fonts, and ended up settling on MonteCarlo, but you can choose any other font you'd like. Click on Code, then look down for “Libraries and Fonts” and select "Fonts".

 

How To Add Supports

In the event that your name has some letters that go below the writing line, don't get discouraged! Enable the supports in the form of hearts and stars from the Customizer menu and position them via the corresponding axis option. You may also scale them to fit exactly your needs.

How To Print

Once you're satisfied with the result, download the model and scale it in Bambu Studio. Be sure to check the “scale uniform” option in order to prevent the font from being distorted.

I recommend a thickness of 24mm in order to make the text sturdy and hard to knock over.

If there's spacing in between letters

Occasionally, you may need to manually alter the position of some letters, in order to make sure it will print as a single object.

You can do so by right clicking on the model and then clicking the “Split to objects” option. So that you may move it in position while keeping it aligned with the rest of the text:

Then, select all the letters and click on “merge”, and done! You've got your model!
