Description

Multi-life squads and common heroes are now a thing in HeroScape, and there isn't a good way to track wounds on them. Here's a solution. If you are new to these, you will probably want to print the V3 Wound Clips. If you have applied basing material to your bases, you will want to use V2.

Frostclaw size fits:

  • Frostclaw Paladins
  • Ordo Borealis
  • Necrotech Wraithriders
  • Elites of Ullar
  • Kraken. Use V2 for 3 of the tentacles. Use V3 for the one tentacle with lots of base space. Leave the tentacle with the anchor without a wound clip, as it does not work. This tentacle has a portal that's flat enough to put a wound marker on)
  • Necrotech Reavers
  • Crimson Twins
  • Jinx and Kamakura

Grim size fits:

  • Grave Grim
  • Krakenling
  • Greatbow Archers

Dreadnought size fits:

  • Dreadnoughts of Caraway

Ramosaur size fits:

  • Ramosaur Rider
  • Nuckelavee

D9K size fits:

  • Cobra Flight Pod
  • Battle Copter

Wound Clips are not permanent, and can easily be removed. The bottom of the clip is 0.5 mm high, so your figure sits 0.5mm higher. It also adds a 1mm edge around the base of your figure. I think anyone would agree that this really doesn't change anything in regular game play. It certainly is much less intrusive to Line of Sight than the official poker chips.

When your figure receives a wound, just start stacking wound markers on the space that's there for that (see pictures). You can pick and move the figure, and the clip just stays on and moves with it, with any wound markers staying in place as well.

To install, your figure does need a fairly flat base, which can be a bit of an issue with the older AOA HeroScape releases (anything before G.I. Joe). Use the hot water method to get the plastic in shape if you have any issues with that.

The V3 redesign moved the wound markers more onto the base. The V3 wound clips are two-parters that require you to firmly push the two parts, ring and knob, together. This push-fit design requires that your printer is reasonably well dialed in, or the connection may either be too loose, or won't be able to be pushed together. Once the two parts are together, the connection should feel strong and solid, and you should not see a gap between the parts. You should never have to seperate the parts again (and you shouldn't, or the connection may get loose. If that happens, a tiny drop of thin superglue will fix it)

Boost MeIf you like my HeroScape Wound Clips, please boost this design. Boosts make a big difference.

If you are out of boosts, or for any other reason, I also have a tip jar.

Boosts and tips are never expected, but always appreciated.
