Description

Cordless tool battery adapter, for Dewalt Battery to Ozito tool skin.

Remixed for larger 14AWG wire. And a ‘reverse’ option provided for when the original doesn't fit your tool and battery combination (I prefer the reverse model as the adapted battery slides in the same direction as the original)

(Grey timber background is the 'original', red timber background is the ‘reverse’ model)

Extra hardware required:

  • ¼" / 6mm spade connectors x 2
  • 20x5x5mm Fuse terminal x 2
  • 14AWG wire
  • M3 x10mm bolt & Hex nut

Assembly:

  • Push the wire through for the spade connector
  • Strip the wire end and crimp a connector on
  • Pull the wire back and use pliers to push the connector home into position. This requires a lot of force, be careful not to bend the terminals.
  • Loop the other end of the wire along its path
  • Put a fuse terminal in place as a guide, and cut and strip the wire
  • Crimp the fuse terminal and press into place
  • The crimp end is slightly larger than the wire channel. Use a hammer and a flat punch to embed the metal into the plastic, so that the terminal sites flat in the correct position
  • Bolt the tab in place
