Box for tailor's measuring tape

A box for a tailor's tape measure created at the request of my wife :) One of the first projects created out of passion for 3D printing and the first model on Maker World :)

📏 Tape Measure Box – Updated Version 2.0

This project is a 3D printable box designed to hold a tailor’s tape measure, featuring a textured, decorative outer surface and a flat top with a tape icon.

The model has been updated to improve usability and reduce material usage while keeping the same overall design language.

🔹 Version 1.0 – Original Release

• Hole size: 3.0 cm
• Filament usage: 27.07 g
• Print time: 1 h 32 min

This version was designed for standard tape measures with a smaller center opening and a solid construction.

🔹 Version 2.0 – Updated Release

• Hole size: 3.5 cm
• Filament usage: 18.90 g
• Print time: 1 h 01 min

The updated version features a larger opening and optimized geometry, resulting in lower filament consumption and shorter print time.
