Elven Dagger

This is a dagger with Elven inspiration. Perfect for cosplay.

 

It's an original design created by me, not reflective of any weapon already in existence.

 

The text embossed on the blade is in elven. It spells the name of the weapon: “Shadowclaw, blade of the fallen souls”.

 

I originaly created this model for my son. The handle is on the smaller size, which I think works well for a light weapon such as a dagger.

 

No glue needed for assembly. The fitment is tight. 

Slight beburing or light sanding might be needed depending on your settings.

Print profiles included for multi color with or without AMS or single color print.

 

For assembly, it's pretty straight forward. 

• Use the three dowels to line up the two sides of the blade and press together (and glue if prefered but not needed)
• Insert the pommel at the bottom of the handle
• Inser the guard at the top of the handle
• then insert the blade at the top locking everything together

I've optimzed the print for faster print time but you can achieve greater details by switching print profiles to a lower layer height (like 0.08mm). 

 

You can also achieve more details on the embossed text and to a greater extend to the Elven Rune at the base of the blade and on the pommel with a smaller nozzle like 0.2mm

 

If you print this for children I'd recommend to trim the tip with filament cutters and round it off like so:
