Drum "Donut" Dampener

I made this for fun, This model is made to dampen your drum as a non adhesive, sticky or permanent dampening solution. The hoop mount is designed and printed to work with my Sonor and Yamaha Snares. If you have another style of hoop on your drum you are able to remix and add it to the project.  The only difference between my prototype and the final print is that i have removed the branding.

Building
First i mounted the rim mount to the hoop and then i added the main “donut” and adjusted the height to the amount of dampening wanted or needed. Then you need to tighten it really tight and then it works.

The only additional parts you need are a M3 or M4 nut, bolt and washer. 

Known issues:
Screw might unscrew while playing,: Solution is either loctite or a lockable nut.

Additional recommendations:
You can add felt to the bottom of the “Donut” with adheasive and then you have even a bit more options for dampening.
