UPDATE: V1.4 of the card holders now allows cards to be used in players while still in the holder! This was a big oversight on my part as I didn't have a player handy while designing. Please let me know your thoughts or if there are any toher issues!
My nephew requested some card holders for his Yoto Player so that he didn't lose them when they were in the car. I created this design that allows the cards to be held tightly while on a keyring or lanyard, meaning your little can carry their favourite song or story around with them wherever they go without fear of losing it! I also designed some label keychains so that they can identify which keyring is stories and which one is music.
The card holders I printed from PLA which I think will be more than enough. You could easily print them in something tougher if you felt the need to. The slots are designed to be snug on the Yoto cards, so they may require a small amount of force to insert. Please let me know if you are having issues with fitting the cards so that I can adjust the model if needed!
The label tags I designed to be printed out of 95A TPU for flexibility and durability. You will want to make sure your TPU is dried well as the nature of printing letters means there is a decent potential for stringing in the top layers if its wet. Again, let me know if you think there are improvements that can be made!
The provided print profile has both labels and 1 of the card holders. Copy the card holders as many times as you need and print from there. I had good luck using the Bambu Cool Plate Super Tack for the card holders and printing them standing up. For the label keychains, you will need to use a different plate like the textured PEI if you are going to use TPU.
Hopefully you and your little ones like this model! Thank you for looking and downloading!
