This is a 3D printed fly swatter designed for real-life use. I've already caught 3 flies with it, and it performs flawlessly!
Specifications:
Handle Length: 50 cm
Swatting Mesh Area: Width 10 cm × Height 12 cm
Handle Material: PLA
Mesh Material: TPU (for flexibility and durability)
Required Hardware:
M3 × 8mm bolts × 2
M3 nuts × 2
Printing Instructions:
The handle is designed with side chambers for added strength. Make sure to print the handle lying on its side, with the chamber side facing the print bed. This orientation ensures the handle prints strong and durable.
The mesh should be printed with TPU filament to provide the necessary flexibility for effective swatting.
Assembly:
Align the mesh with the handle’s mounting holes.
Secure them using M3 × 8mm bolts and M3 nuts (2 sets).
You can also apply a small amount of adhesive if you want a permanent fit, but the bolt-nut connection is sufficient for functional use.
Features:
Long 50cm handle for extended reach.
Flexible TPU mesh for higher success rate when swatting flies.
Simple, sturdy design optimized for practical use—not just display.
