Minimalist Wall Hook with Maximum Strength
I had to design a wall hook because I could not find one big and strong enough to suit my need. I decided to go for a well thought design which avoids the need of excessive supports and prints cleanly on its best and strongest orientation thanks to the incorporations of a smart support when designing which gives it excellent stability and is easily removable, leaving no marks.
The hook mounts effortlessly using double-sided tape. You don’t need nails or screws. It includes a 0.5 millimeter recessed channel that fits thicker adhesive strips. If the tape is thinner than 0.5 millimeters, it may not protrude enough to make proper contact with the wall
Despite its minimalist appearance, Holdo’s structural design allows it to support more than 50 kilograms, as long as the adhesive remains firmly attached. Whether you're hanging tools, gear, or household items, Holdo offers a perfect balance of simplicity and strength.
It is designed for objects as thick as 4cm, if they are thicker they may still fit thanks to the curved design but I would advise to use a cord or something else to secure the object.
You can print it in approximately 45 minutes, and it only consumes around 13 grams of filament, making it both fast and efficient; much better than going to the store.
Printed in PLA, Holdo already demonstrates impressive strength. However, for heavier-duty applications or more demanding environments, you might consider using ABS, PETG, or reinforced filaments. If you plan to use it outdoors, it’s best to avoid PLA and dark colors since heat exposure can lead to warping or breakage.
