10" Air Purifier

Bad allergies? Looking to filter out particulates created by your 3D printer? This model is for you! This Air Purifier fits 10x10x1" air filters and can be printed on an A1!

This build uses 4 PC fans and a standard HVAC MERV filter. This makes it a relatively high CFM air purifier for its size. Adjustable power supply lets you fine-tune the speed. A carbon filter can be used to reduce odors!

Parts List

  • 10x10x1 MERV air filter (choose your own quantity and filtration level)
  • (4) 120mm PC fans
  • Fan Power Supply/Speed Controller
  • (Optional) 4 way power split

Assembly

  1. Print all components.
    1. Please note you should turn the Automatic Flow Calibration OFF when you print the main filter box. The print takes up the maximum space on the A1 and the flow calibration lines will interfere with the print. You can print in PLA or PETG, I prefer PETG for strength but maintaining a consistent room temperature is important to avoid warping print failures.
  2. Mount each fan
    1. For the fans listed, the sticker side should face OUT to ensure proper airflow direction
    2. The fan should come with M3/M4 bolts. You may need a set of pliers to secure the ones in the corners
    3. Don't forget to add the metal grates to the front!
  3. Connect the power cables.
    1. Use the 4 way power splitter or solder in your own connections.
    2. Feed the Power Suppy cable into the hole on the side of the box.
    3. Use the Wire Guide prints to secure the wire (it should snap in but if the tolerance is off add superglue). The one with the angled edge goes inside the filter box and aligns with the case.
  4. Pop in the air filter and you're set! You can lightly bend the box or squeeze the air filter.
