Functional M18 Smoke Grenade Prop (with Storage)

Summary:

A cool M18 Smoke Grenade prop featuring a working, spring-loaded fuse mechanism and a secret, screw-on storage compartment in the base. Great for cosplay or as a fun desk container.

 

Description:

This isn't your average static prop! I designed this M18 Smoke Grenade model with two fun features:

1. Working Spring-Loaded Fuse: Use a spring from any clicky pen or buy one that is listed in BOM, and the spoon will fly off when you pull the pin. It makes for a very satisfying and realistic action.
2. Hidden Storage: The bottom cap has a thread and can be unscrewed, turning the entire grenade body into a secret container.

 

Assembly:

• You will need 1x spring 0.5x5x25 mm.
• Screw on the top and bottom cap.
• Insert the spring and piston into the fuse.
• Screw on the fuse.
• Hold the spoon down and secure it with the pin.

(Optional) Realistic Pin:

For a more authentic look, you can bend the pin outwards after inserting it (see picture below).

Please note: Bending the pin will likely make it a one-time use item, as it's difficult to bend back. I recommend printing a few extra pins if you plan to do this!
